Before you Order

 

Q

How quickly can you deliver my Signing Plate?

 

A

We aim to process your order within 24 hours of receipt and we will make every effort to meet your deadline.

Orders received after 1pm will be processed on the following business day and your plate will be delivered within 48 hours. In the event of a delay, we will contact you as soon as possible.

 

Q

My wedding is not for another 6 months. When is the best time to order?

 

A

We recommend that you place your order as early as possible. Our ceramic plates are hand-made and we may not always be able to dispatch your choice of plate at short-notice.

 

Q

Can I have the guest signatures painted in any colour?

 

A

We only paint them in black as, in our experience, this helps make them clear and legible, adding impact to the finished Signing Plate.

 

Q

I like the large signing plate but I only have 50 guests. Can I still order this one?

 

A

Yes. Each plate may have as many or as few signatures as you choose. Our recommendations are guidelines to help you avoid choosing a plate that is too small for the signatures and messages.

 

Q

Can I change the centre design?

 

A

Our Signing Plates make a wonderful gift for any occasion or special event. We are happy to recommend alternative designs or to incorporate your own simple design or theme for an additional fee, starting from £15. Please contact us for more information or to discuss your requirements.

     

 

Receiving your Signing Plate

 

Q

My blank signing plate arrived but its been damaged in the post. What should I do?

 

A

Just contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will send a replacement plate as quickly as possible, free of charge.

Some of the items that came with the signing plate appear to be damaged or missing?

 

A

Just contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will replace any missing or damaged items as quickly as possible, free of charge.

 

Q

I received my blank signing plate but I've changed my mind and would like to cancel my order. What should I do?

 

A

Just contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will arrange for the plate to be returned to us. We will refund to you the cost of the plate but you will be charged £30 for the cost of shipping and handling.

     

 

Creating your Signing Plate

 

Q

What if my guests write in the centre of the blank plate?

 

A

We prepare your plate before sending it to you and will block out the centre, leaving the edges for your guests to sign.

 

Q

The pencil signatures have been smudged. What can you do?

 

A

We always ask that you send us a written list of guests' names to ensure correct spellings in case we cannot read read them. All of the pencil marks burn off in the kiln, so any smudges will disappear completely.

We also recommend that you wrap the plate in cling film to protect the signatures during shipping back to us.

 

Q

I'm ready to return my 'signed' Signing Plate for painting, but I can't find the box that it came in. Can I use another similar sized box?

 

A

The original packaging was designed specially to ensure your Signing Plate travels safely. We will not accept liability for any loss or damage if any other packaging is used to return the 'signed' Signing Plate to us.

We can supply replacement packaging at a cost of £10.

     

 

Finishing your Signing Plate

 

Q

How long will it be before I get my 'finished' Signing Plate back?

 

A

We aim to dispatch your 'finished' Signing Plate to you within 4 to 6 weeks of receipt and will contact you in the event of any delays.

 

Q

Why does the glaze on my Signing Plate look slightly cracked?

 

A

'Crazing' (very fine surface 'cracks') can sometimes occur many weeks after the kilning process. This does not affect the quality or usability of the final product.

 

Q

Can I use my 'finished' Signing Plate ?

 

A

Yes. Your Signing Plate is suitable for everyday use but we strongly recommend that you hand-wash the plate. The heat generated by dish-washers and microwave ovens can sometimes result in 'crazing'.

 

Q

Can the Signing Plate be hung on a wall?

 

A

We recommend using a plate stand, as the plates are quite heavy and may not survive a fall! You can purchase a plate stand from us for £5 using our Order Form.
